Patient has Mirena IUD which migrated into pelvis. Physician is going to remove it Laparoscopic (49329 & 58301) and perform Laparoscopic bilateral tubal ligation with Filshie clips( 58671). I know 49329 is an unlisted code which our corporate coding does not allow & it is bundled with 58671. I would appreciate how to code this .

First of all the laparoscopic removal of an IUD is only coded as 49329 - 58301 is not added and I am not sure why your corporate coding would ever bundle an unlisted code with 58671 as it would then completely explain the procedure. But if you cannot bill 49329 and 58671 add a modifier -22 to 58671 and send in a report describing the additional significant work.
