Our physician performed a TAH/BSO ( 58150) with a colpopexy (57280) . He made reference to performing a hemorrhoidectomy: ( 2 hemorrhoidal columns were found which were cauterized . The base was then repaired with 00-Vicryl stitches ) My question is the pathology report shows it to be anal polyps not hemorrhoids would we use an unlisted code ? I can't seem to find CPT code that reflects the work and diagnosis payable together . Please advise . thanks

You are correct, there are no codes for removal of anal polyps except via anoscopy which he did not perform. He cauterized them which implies destruction rather than excision so maybe look at 46910 for this.
