Hello Melanie,

Thank you so much for response to my coding questions.

If during a cesarean section, a left ovarian cyst was excised with the use of the electrocautery device, can CPT 58925-51 be reported for the ovarian cystectomy.

A 3 cm simple appearing left ovarian cyst was identified. We discussed the findings with the patient who verbally consented for excision of the cyst. The cyst was excised with the use of the electrocautery device. The tissue was collected for pathology. There was excellent hemostasis at the site of the cyst excision.

Sure you can bill as there are no published bundling edits, but make sure you have the correct gyn Dx code linked only to this procedure and nothing having to do with the pregnancy along with the code for incidental to pregnancy.
