do you know if Minnestoa medicaid allow us to billing e/m during pregnancy and then billing delivery/pp cpt at the end? Our billing office is asking that our Medicaid patient's be billed out each month if they change from straight Medicaid to a prepaid Medicaid. I'm been trying to see if we can just bill e/m each time patient is seen then just bill delivery/pp cpt at the end? I can't find anything on their website of course. Thank you

You are right, they do not address this directly on their website or via their provider manuals. Prepaid means a per capita monthly payment is made to the provider for the patient and all services would be provided for that payment so I would assume that monthly would be correct. When in doubt you will have to have someone in your billing office contact your Medicaid rep directly to get the most correct answer.
