Melanie, during a Posterior colporraphy with entercocele repair the doctor noted there was not adequate fascia noted; therefore the decision was made to use a small piece of human cadaveric tudoplast (I think that is supposed to be tutoplast?). This Tudoplast was sutured in place using interrupted sutures of 2-0 vicryl.

Is that billable?

Thank you,

Cathy Satkus, CPC

Yes, sorry, 57267.

Melanie, I can't find that code. Is that supposed to be the 57267?

56567 is the only code currently available as it mentions "other" prosthesis, but you will need to be prepared if the payer wants further information that it was not mesh that was used. The code 15777 for biologic implants can only be reported with integumentary system codes.
