Hi,

I am working as a Podiatry verifier,while coding the nail debridement the Principal Dx Mycotic nail with pain as Secondary dx is signifies the debridement.
As pain is qualified diagnosis for mycotic nail debridement,my question is Physician debrides 10 nails but while looking the document pain is present for 5 nails only,as per the coverage guidelines pain is factor that is necessity of debridement procedure,what is the CPT to Justify as per the criteria 11720 or 11721.
Please do the needful.
